Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where does Hedgerow’s Summer Camp take place?
Junior Theatre camps (Frog & Toad, Kids!, SUMMER CAMP II, Disney’s Dare to Dream) will take place at Hedgerow Theatre (64 Rose Valley Rd, Media, PA 19063). Week one of SUMMER CAMP II will rehearse at the Hedgerow House before moving to the theater. Your director will provide more information on this.
Sprouts camps 1 & 2 will take place at the Hedgerow House (146 W Rose Valley Rd, Rose Valley, PA 19086).
Teen Shakespeare camp will take place at Hedgerow Theatre (64 Rose Valley Rd, Media, PA 19063).
2. When does Hedgerow’s Summer Camp take place?
Daytime camps (Junior Theater and Sprouts):
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm with the option of Aftercare from 3:00pm - 4:30pm
Evening camp (Teen Shakespeare Program):
Monday - Friday, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
3. What do we do if my child is late or cannot attend a class session?
For a scheduled absence, please let someone on staff know as soon as possible. If you are running late or your student is not feeling well, please call the office at 610-565-4211.
4. What should students bring to camp?
Students should bring a pencil, water bottle, lunch, and snacks. Due to allergies, please do not include items containing peanuts or peanut butter.
5. What should students wear to class?
Students should wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. For student safety, open-toe shoes, including flip-flops and sandals are not permitted.
6. How will families receive communication?
In the event of an emergency, theatre school instructors and Hedgerow staff will call the emergency contact on file, for all other matters, we will communicate via email. Please make sure your correct phone number and email address are on file and accurate.
7. Are there sibling discounts?
Yes! Please contact the office at 610-565-4211 for a sibling discount for more than one camper from the same household.
8. Can family members get involved?
Yes! If you would like to volunteer to support our camp program, please contact Ali Caiazzo at acaiazzo@hedgerowtheatre.org.
