Performances Aug 8 - 10
"Something wicked this way comes…
Three mysterious witches lay a glorious prophecy at the feet of Macbeth, and it calls to him. Will he do what it takes to become king? Does he want it bad enough to kill for it? Is the chance to control his nation worth the chance of losing his soul?
So begins Shakespeare's most infamous dive into the depths of human ambition, wickedness, and obsession with power. The play roars with the drive and power of a runaway train, headed by some of his most legendary characters: the powerhouse Lady Macbeth, the courageous MacDuff, the supernatural witches, the drunken Porter, and the tortured but ambitious Macbeth.
Directed by Owen Corey, with Lead Teacher Kelsey Hébert, this Teen Shakespeare production of Macbeth will bring together a cast of young actors to create a fully realized performance of Shakespeare's masterpiece. Actors will dive into their characters in both rehearsals and in specially tailored acting classes, where they'll develop core performance skills like character creation, fight choreography, and movement training.
Dive into Shakespeare's masterpiece with us this summer!
